I have regulars that come each and every week that don’t sing and they, like Julz said, come there purely for the entertainment.
I don’t know how many times over the years I’ve been thanked for “running a good Show tonight”.
Entertainment can be a different value for each and everyone though.
The dictionary describes Entertainment as “Something that amuses, pleases, or diverts, especially a performance or show”.
It could be a song that triggers an emotion, or even as simple as getting up to dance when a song is sung.
My enjoyment with Karaoke is going to other Hosts Karaoke Shows and being entertained by different singers and singing along at my own table to the song being sung.
Even when someone sings off key it can generate amusement and make you feel good about life and yourself.
I love to get out and dance with everyone and make a spectacle of myself, that’s entertainment in its self :)
Karaoke not entertainment, yeah right, pull the other leg it plays Jingle Bells.
