| From the Where2sing.com forum: LB, the discussion that Tom is rebutting to is my comment that poor singers at venues inspire others, both singers and audience members not to return to the venue. Tom was trying to say that karaoke isnt about entertainment so it has nothing to do with people coming to watch. He was implying through his own experience that singers are the only ones that go to karaoke and they only go to sing for themselves and not to entertain so how good or bad they are shouldnt matter! Tom is using his own local as his evidence for this. His thinking is wrong on so many levels and is so closed minded. He doesnt think about why others may go, both to sing or watch! Karaoke is entertainment and that is why people go!!
