Hi host from Vic...
Thanks for the feedback.
You're right about English not being a mother tongue causing difficulties. My apologies for not accounting for that but as for the rest, you did not actually differ with me at all. We were in agreement: -
Remember you quoted me with, 'it doesn't make any difference to me if they be verbal or written (provided there is enough text to interpret and not just a stand alone sentence)?' The examples you gave are 'stand alone sentences' WITHOUT 'enough text to interpret.' It was for that very reason, I said what I did (in that quote) as I was already well aware of the 7 different interpretations (the sentence I had learned was, 'I didn't say he beats his wife').
Hope that clears things up :)

host from NSW...
1: My time spent here involves interaction. Through interaction comes learning. Learning is useful not wasteful. Ergo, the time I spend here is not a waste at all and your advice on the matter irrelevant.
2: Trying to raise questions about the interpretation of your own words (e.g.: 'Who is the strangling comment about?' and 'now how is the below text differ from calling someone stupid? Could they not have been said in a mocking kind of tone? Not nasty too?') instead of just saying categorically for the record what you DID mean is most definitely a waste of time. I told you exactly what I meant. Why don't you reciprocate? The only answer I have been able to come up with to this question is cowardice. You don't want to say that you didn't mean me because you DID mean me but if you say so, you are afraid of at least one of two things occurring - that it would look bad for business and that I will put you in your place physically as well as verbally. Solutions?: Option A: Retract statement or apologise for it and we'll call it bygones. Option B: Say you did mean it, identify yourself and issue a challenge. My advice is to go for 'Option A.' Fisticuffs over such a small matter as a difference of opinion is not worth it. I'll meet the challenge of Option B of course but I seriously doubt you are going to make it. I advise strongly against it as I have no wish to cause you harm, especially over a mere argument.
