HI ALL......I was just talking to Wolf the other day and i posed a question to him , the question was this...Who is the bigger business fool !! ,hosts like you who have invested 10's of thousands of dollars have high grade equipment and 8000 songs and a large percentage of them are top of the line disks ( sunfly / sc / top hit monthly etc ) and unable to do a job for under $300 and always trying to get much more than that , because ...1... you would not get a return on your investment for a long while...2 ..going cheaper would mean that you risk your standard of show in the long term....3....as a FULL time entertainer , this would mean you will need to look else-where for your income .... or ,like a few hosts ( hobby and they do this because they 'love' karaoke) that seem to be popping up like weeds in the garden , these days they buy a set of speakers from ebay for around the $500 mark , A few sgb disks plus a few of the K-mart $9.95 special disks ,may-be a few of those disks we don't want to discuss / cheap AMP / beringer mixer / cheap Mic's and so on , infact may-be under $2000 will get them going and because of there much / MUCH smaller out-lay and not to mention , they really only want to do this for many reasons other than the money and they start taking the work from the pro's and the publicans are only to happy to give them a go , and quite frankly many of the places that i've been to ,where these hosts that are 'cutting there teeth' at , other than the few karaoke junkies NO-ONE else Cares Less they still party on just the same may-be a few may lose interest as the night wears on and may-be a few singers may take longer to get up , but Hey!! they seem to be getting more and more work and the pro's who charge a proper fee must peedle harder to survive in the industry ( as a Full-time karaoke host)....So who is the bigger fool ??
