| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hello CHINA & RobbieH - Disappointments and Frustrations are common emotions that Artists suffer whilst competing in Top Class Competition and it is unavoidable that some contestants will vent these emotions towards the Venue, Host or the Very 'Popular' Judges!
However, there are cases where a contestant has over a huge amount of time been treated unfairly at other quests and we all know and have experienced this phenomenon so it is understandable these pent up frustrations must be released at some time!
I believe I have spoken to the complainant, who by the way is a very talented performer, although I will never support his initial format of complaint (post) I have given ear to his genuine concerns and now I am aware of his passion for and disappointments with competing in Competitions!
Anger is an 'easy' emotion to handle and there are numerous ways we can vent it, however putting ourselves or others at risk for this satisfaction can do a great deal of damage not only personally but publicly.
I am an old Retailer and still strive to provide Customer Service and as a graduate of the 'Customer is Always Right Rule School'
believe Empathy is a huge tool I use in fixing most Breakdowns and the outcomes from understanding issues from another perspective really does have positive outcomes for all concerned!
So CHINA, although I really appreciate your support and that of RobbieH 'competition whingers' are not really my bag but genuine performers that need assistance and support to overcome past treatments,nerves or any other advise will know that I am not just the '4hr Host with the Most' but there to give them as much support as I can!
KWC 2008 is not for the faint hearted and should be judged as such, the search is on for the BEST in Australia starting with the Best in every State my Venue wants to produce that Finalist and I will endorse all the support possible to any contestant that requests it, so to all those Bold Contenders in WA what more do you need to strut ya STUFF?
