| From the Where2sing.com forum: Goodluck with that show at Bexley! We had a show there for 6 months on a Saturday night and were canned because we bought too many people into the club...yep you heard right, too many people!
Once a month the directors have a 'paid for by the club' night where only the directors and their families are treated to a night of entertainment costing up to $10,000 a night which includes dinner and a celebrity performer.
Apparently they didn't like the fact that there were 200 paying customers enjoying the club while they were enjoying their monthly club funded night out!
Bexley RSL is the worst run club in Sydney by far and is only run for the benefit of its directors... Its only a matter of time before it ends up like Newtown RSL and Marickville RSL, being closed up by greedy underhanded crooks only there for what they can get out of it.
It doesn't surprise me at all that they only opened the show for members of the club, heaven help if it should attract more people to the club!
