| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi all...Yes Wayne had a bike accident yesterday. Unfortunately for Lex and I we were in the car behind and saw it all. Not something lex and I ever want to see again.!!! Jokingly I said to wayne that he goes to great lengths not to want to wear bunny ears at st marys rsl for karaoke..Luckily ( after how bad the accident was ) he has nothing broken but is to say the least a walking OUCH of pain. Shoulder and hips problems, brusies in places he didnt know he could have them and lost a lot of skin on his hands and outside thighs. Thankfully the leather jacket and full face helmet saved from worse injuries.
Many thanks to Puss in Boots n Nev for being woken up by me... and Nev taking waynes bike home safely and then the 2 of them staying up at the hospital with me and waiting on word wether wayne was to stay in or not, then bringing us back home.
Lex : Thank you Lil Sis for being such a support yesterday. For keeping calm and doing the same for wayne. For all the sms during the day to see how he was doing and for coming over in person in the afternoon to check up on us both and keep us company. Your a wonderful friend and you are family to us too..and wayne wanted me to type to you...' Do they make 3 wheeled postie bikes '..lmao...hee hee....
Alisa n Chris : Wayne is blown away by your generosity of spirit and love that you both showed and continue to do. From coming around last night to offer support, and then calling later to make sure we had eaten ( knowing that I had been awake for at least the last 24 hours b4 and was tired and in pain with my legs ) to bringing around food for us, then the calls this morning to check up on us and then bringing around some essentials from the shops as well as dinner for the next 2 nights. Both he and I cant find the words except to say we Love You all.
Ceepat, Joan and Catman : Thank you for all your sms and calls of love and support. Do I want to throttle him? YES.. Am I glad he is still with us ? YES !! Will I ever stop him riding bikes ? NO. Men will be men..obviously they need their ' thrills ' and the spills come with it. I have told Wayne that my fear for him being on the bike now is worse, but its his choice as to riding not mine. I just said Men might get over their bumps and bruises just fine, but sometimes the women are left with the bad memories of the accident and we are always around to pick up the pieces and support them when it happens. The bike to me is a piece of **** at the moment and to me the longer it is of the road the better. Thats my opinion simply put.
We are hoping to see our friends and those we call our family at karaoke maybe sometime on the weekend. Wayne is determined to get ove this as quickly but safely as possible. And who knows. he may end up wearing those bunny ears I bought him yet.
