| From the Where2sing.com forum: HI Microphone........No , i cannot fully agree with your comment re:: starting small and if you can afford 10 's of thousand of dollars , you must have the money to start with ,why i disagree , some people hosting karaoke shows are professional entertainers who have had extensive years covering many aspects of the entertainment industry and know what it takes to perform and deliver a good standard gig and will NOT comparmise there level of entertainment skills / sound / stage management and so on ,like all entertainers be it solo / duo / band , you are only as good as your equipment you have to deliver a gig , so many of these 'true' entertainers go with-out many things in life to get to this stage and some also get loans , all for this reason and also because they have faith and also because they know there abilities so they prepared to take such a risk , if you manage to speak to any professional entertainer , as i have dealt with and know many entertainers from the many fields of the entertainment business , i'm sure they will tell you the same..., but the thing with karaoke it let's almost any person become a host , sadly all that some do is just call out a name and change a few disks , where as with all the other fields of the entertainment business you must have a certain amount of skills and know what you are doing and have good quaity gear to turn over a very regular pay-packet or to get noticed....
