You know it can be 1,2 or even 3 yrs go by and you just happen to take a glance as to see if anything has changed with this site, and i can honestly say its the same boring old people on here everytime complaining about everyone elses shows, get a life you people. This is a full time job for only a hand full of people, and as for the rest of those die hard wonna be karaoke hosts stick to your old job leave it up to people that know what they are doing. Sure anyone can sit there on there ass and sound like they are sprooking in a shopping centre. If you are a die hard karaoke fan , yep if your not happy stay at home or just go to another venue how hard is it really. Everyone who complains either cant sing anyway or is just gelous they cant afford or havent got the personality to run a show. Just look at the shows out there, most peopl would agree they are crap, thats why they only charge $150 a show, i will never bag anyone unless they bag me. If im not happy at a venue i walk out, and you know what, why shouldnt regulars get more songs, they are the ones that support the venue every week, not the blow in's i dont care if that annoys most people, people that come in for there first time or second time are usually the ones that complain. I say suff em. Punters should understand by now that if there are alot of singers it is hard to fit in everyone and get alot of songs in. In that case look for a venue that has just started or that is quiet, that might make you people stop bitching. There are 3 venues in Chatswood now but the one obviously people are talking about is the Chatswood RSL, so if people do make comments its only fair that you name the venue you are talking about so that you dont get the venues mixed up. Gone of the days when there use to be positive comments on this site, now its people complaining about a venue so they can try to canvas the show for themselves. And it happens all the time. All you people that have been singing at venues for years here is some advice, unless you have personality, even if you can sing , dont bother trying to start your own shows as you will crash and burn and make a complete idiot of yourself, and also, what has been happening to the industry in the past few years , you people trash the whole idea of what Karaoke is all about, venues think that if that's karaoke we dont want it back. Who cares if someone sings shit, drink more i always say. As long as they enjoy themselves who cares, everyone deserves a go, thats the difference between profesional and someone that has no idea.
In conclusion, Build a bridge and get over it. To all other hosts you are doing a great Job for the industry. Lets put it this way, if you havent any work, then chances are you arent very good or you suck or you arent a good salesman/ woman. If you can only get one show then that is obviously how good you are. GOOD LUCK PEOPLE............................I tell you what, for years ive been thinking that someone should have a Karaoke hosting Comp. Imagine how many people would register. Run it for a few weeks with prize money. I cant go in it of course i work every day cant get the night off. Everyones an expert. Dont bother replying to me as i wont be back on here for a couple of years.
