David Cook's got a great tone, sounded awesome on Eleanor Rigby... And yes, I am aware that the arrangements are not his but does that really matter? No one got upset when Jason Scott did Buckley's version of Hellelujah instead of Cohen/Wainwright's. Why? Cause people knew of it. I think because people are more or less unaware of the covers that Cook does, when it comes out it somehow seems sneaky. Reminds me of all the woohaa when Daughtry did Live's Walk The Line.

While I like Michael Johns, I don't think he's going to get to the end and I don't think David Arch' is gonna get there either, he just can't handle up-tempo songs and it'll show him up. Ballads will only get you so far. It'll be a face-off between Carly and David in my book...
