All that aside I have found from personal experience on W2S, comments re venues and sound quality really do belong on 'singers comments' in Gig Guide and prove to be a more effective and constructive method to get criticisms and praise across to Hosts and Venue Management (if they read 'em) avoiding personalities and sticking to all the rules that produce the betterment of Karaoke!
I have experienced personal attacks due to this form of critique and understand the consequences that can occur due to my actions if received by a Host lacking the maturity to understand!
Like all of us I have been to Great, Good & Gruesome Gigs and if these venues choose to list on W2S then they are entitled to my review as a consumer (not as a competitor) although I am not hidden by anonymity on W2S it leaves me and my venues open to attack by shills and mischief, this format I prefer rather than direct complaint to Venue Management, I mean LB if your 'email' were posted on singers comments surely it would attract other critique in support of your issue and possibly given that the right people read it, changes would be implemented to eleviate your discomfort at this gig!
Lets face it if the old 'jewish piano' is still playing a great tune and the punters are 'warbling & gargling' how is your email to be accepted btw have you had a reply?
