B2S: I have a page in the front of the books I use at the Campbelltown gig (now that I think of it) with my contact details on it, so that's probably not such a great example of mine, but that's a bit of a luxury as those books never leave the venue. The other gigs on the roster don't get books with front pages due to the fact that they get sent to multiple venues each week. Although, as I said, this example probably not a great one to use in my case, it still holds in my opinion (no contact details in the book of the gig I went to the other night).

Since this discussion has started, I have asked myself why I never said anything to the host at the time and to be perfectly honest, I think it comes down to the fact that I didn't want to get into a big deal about it, I didn't want to have a 'discussion' about it. I just wanted to give my comments and that's it. I guess I felt at the time that the host may have felt the need to justify the current set up so as not to lose face or something and I just didn't want to go down that road. I also know that I definitely wouldn't have brought up the fellow host thing as I've had that happen to me in the past and it's been a bit awkward.

Would I have done things differently? Possibly, but the email to the venue was an after-thought after I had posted the gig comments. I reread them the following day and I thought to myself 'what does this actually achieve? It will possibly scare away potential patrons (I know I wouldn't go there if I read comments like that) but it does nothing to fix the problem as it's unlikely that the host or the venue will ever read it.' Hense the email to the venue...
