BillyT: First of all, I have no problem with opening myself up for judgement because I very rarely have hidden motives for the things I say (I won't say never cause someone will surely come back at me for something I said back in 1992 when I was trying to get that cute girl with the pig tails to go out with me or something).

To be honest, I think by and large, w2s provides the best way for comments and criticisms of gigs to be aired with annonymity so that The Powers That Be can respond to the comment and not the person who made the comment. Having said that, I don't believe enough hosts/venues have a presence on here to make it a be all and end all (David may be able to offer some stats on whether or not this believe is well founded or not and I stand corrected if it's not). If everyone only ever left gig comments and let's say only 40% of hosts read them, that's a massive amount of potential gig changing input that has gone to waste. I'd like to see less waste is all...

And no, I haven't received a reply and I don't expect one. I don't even expect it to be read by the person that could do anything about the issue, it might not even be read by anyone at all; but that's not why I sent it. I sent it because it might be read by the right person, it might make someone go 'you know, it never occurred to me that it would be a problem for the singer to remove those speakers and it's a really easy thing to rectify' and it might mean that the gig becomes a more pleasant experience for all. I'm an optimist, I know, and I don't appologise for it...
