It's very hard to refuse intoxicated people getting up to sing if they are still being served drinks over the bar, all you can do is print your rules in the front of your books or even put them on a poster somewhere where everyone will see them. Use your persuasive powers if someone who is brahms & liszt, gets up. Drinks are easy to stop people normally put them down when asked, I always make sure I thank the person and explain to the rest of the punters we don't want to fry anyone so it's for their own safety we ask not to bring drinks on stage. Mikes and wires, well we have found by changing to decent quality cordless Mikes we keeps wires on stage to a minimum.
