From the Where2sing.com forum:

Maybe we should get all the songs over 4 minutes (5,6,7,8 and over) and change them to 2 minute songs or extract them from our lists all together.
That way we can fit more singers in.
I just wonder how long it will take for someone to complain about the singers that only choose 4 minute songs and want them banned from the song lists as well?
The attitude that someone sings longer songs and murders them would only mean that they would choose more songs and murder more songs in the process as well.
In the 5 years I’ve been at Peaky Inn the longer songs have never been a problem and are not sung very much at all, but when they are who cares, most of the audience gets behind them anyway.
If someone gets to sing 4 looooong songs in one night then that would mean there is only about 12 singers singing and if the rotation was fair most people would get their 3 to 4 songs as well, so where’s the problem?
I must admit that I have never ever been to a Karaoke Show where I’ve heard the one person sing 4 long songs in one night and if I did I would have also got my fix and sung a few songs as well and would have left happy.
