From the Where2sing.com forum:

re long songs. Those who have seen queues of 50 'singers' on a given night might think differently. What fun was it to listen to an idiot who had his iPod in his ears throughout his entire off-key rendition of 2 of the longest songs on the list? So I'm the one who sucked the fun out of karaoke by booing this clown? He has never been back. Good riddance. And I'll bet it was the bouncers who kept him out for an unrelated offence. Idiots usually show their true form by puking on tables and fighting. Long songs are often a symptom of their lack of courtesy. As to others still managing to get their 3-4 songs after this sabotage, dream on. Our local is good for about 2 songs if we arrive early and 1 if we don't want to listen to others for the next 2 hours. Even on the quiet Wednesday we sometimes only get 2 songs. So long songs are a menace in an oversubscribed venue. Listening to this crap is about as much fun as listening to the white noise from the wrong radio channel.
