| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi ROBBIE H..Yes Karaoke is about having fun (to a point) .but I believe ultimately as hosts we are ....or we should ....consider our shows as entertainment..... and not just entertainment for a handfull of singers ....but for a participating (and drinking) non singing audience who are attracted inside and will stay to the bitter end enjoying the 'entertainment' (and patronising the Bar)
I ve gotta say that I get a little tired of hearing the statement 'Karaoke is all about having fun'.....fun for who?.the Host......the 20 or so singers? or the audience?..........I mean if we all want to have just fun ......I can set up my system in my garage invite some singers and have a lot of fun.but it wont pay the bills?
