| From the Where2sing.com forum: Karaoke Wars (round 2..) A famous superchef was in Sydney piloting his new show: Karaoke Nightmare. He was invited to Gordon Club in Chatswood. The Club has engaged Rising Star, consistently a #1 rating venue on Fridays in the same suburb. I was given a transcript of superchef's dialogue from the pilot tape:
'Let's have a listen. F@#% me! Tha’ is the wors’ F@#%in’ rendition of Meatloaf I’ve ever heard. It sounded like a leopard bringin’ up a F@#%in’ fur ball! Who are these guys? The local team? So, they’d be here anyway? So wha’ happened to the new people tha’ attended last week? Hooned out, you say? The hoons actually go behind the desk & grab the controls? They lick and swallow the mic like F@#%in’ F@#%atio? They grope other singers?
So, let me get this straight: You were not getting business. You want new blood. So, you’re payin’ a top F@#%in’ KJ team to come in and play to people who would have been here anyway .. who were p***ed before they got here .. so they can hoon it up and chase away new members who’d come to sing? .. chase away new pun'ers who would have brought drinks? ..and brough’ more of their mates as word got around? And the people who’d actually come to sing - staff turned the lights out on them? They sat in the dark? Staff didn’t pick up their empties or clean their table .. for hours. But you expect them to come back … and bring their mates .. to listen to the F@#%in’ hoons destroy, don’t tell me, let me guess – American Pie, Dashboard? And lookin’ a’ the list, I don’t see their names – it just says ‘the country boys’ so tha' means it’s the same F@#%in’ group of yobs each time, butchering a different song, while the singers who’d come from miles away sit and listen to this – in the dark a’ a filthy F@#%in’ table. But you expect them to come back? That’s some F@#%in’ business plan! F@#% me!
