| From the Where2sing.com forum: The reason that the upload size limit is 1Mb (1,000Kb), is because people's browsers tend to get tired and abandon the attempt, or the people themselves do, after about that limit. And all uploaded pics are reduced considerably and watermarked before you see them, the thumbnails being about 15Kb and the fullsize pics about 70Kb - so there's no value in uploading really large files. Bandwidth and storage are not really an issue - you can click on the Gig Listings' thumbnails to see the larger size, so does this mean you want to be able to click on the main page thumbnails and see a larger size? Or is it that the larger size are not as good quality as you'd like?
At the moment we seem to get a lot of shots of specific singers - singers tend to upload singers, I upload exterior shots whilst trying not to crash the car, and hosts seem to like uploading shots of the bistro. Would these 3 categories - exterior, inside-and-crowd, and singers be a fair separation?
And how much larger on the large Gig Listings page do you want the big size, and how much bigger would you like the thumbnails?
Oh, and I'm right for calendars thanks Kev - it's getting a date later than 1947 that's causing the problems...lol.
