I just wonder as Phycologist what you tell patients to do in situations where people act like idiots.
Do you tell them that “Squaring up” is ok and that fighting is sociably tolerable?
My father use to say “Kev always walk away from a fight or at least try to talk your way out those sort of situations”
Now the difference between my Dad and you Tom is that my Dad wasn’t a phycologist, but he was a wise man.
