Im not saying Tom was wrong to defend his wife/partner or himself if he felt threatened. I would definately do the same yes indeed.
But go back and read Toms posts for as long as you like and find me a positive one where he has had an enjoyable night without complaining about one thing or another. I reckon it will take you a while
And yes to your remark about what should one do if you felt uncomfortable in that situation I would say leave and find a more enjoyable venue. Rach and I did that very thing as I am sure I have told you so, in relation to a very popular venue we used to attend but no longer do for those very reasons. Inflaming the situation sure aint going to make it better nor is whining after the event, so vote with your feet. If you dont like it I say dont go back...there are plenty of venues as we all know
