From the Where2sing.com forum:

Thanks Dave, Thats nice hear in any circumstances :)
Look I think maybe some of you have it right about Tom and Margie. Maybe they just get on here and not give too much thought as to how their posts are taken or how they may effect people/business'.
The reason why I get my back up is because some of these clubs are struggling enough as it is without people making remarks publicly that could damage their reputation, especially when the remarks are overblown and mostly untrue.
To use the Gordon as a platform to scream about the evils of alcohol is just plain wrong.
Whether we like it or not we are all at the mercy of the drinkers in our society as without them there is no karaoke.
Sure some take it too far but it has not been proven by any means that the 3 boys from Campbelltown on that night were even drunk (some people are just natural assholes) and to declare any different is just plain hearsay and guess work.
The club has done amazingly well to address the problems Gaz and Tom found on that night and to bag them further publicly when they have treated Tom's testimony with such seriousness as to ban ALL their teams from karaoke is just plain shamefull.
You demanded an apology from the club when you thought you were treated unfairly Tom, how about the same respect for The Gordon club?
Cheers,
Rob
P.S. Ray - Thanks for your very sensible posts, it seems the only thing I have in common with Tom is that I love Gaz and Di too! So much so I would gladly hand the gig back to them if they so wished.
