| From the Where2sing.com forum: What's the point of just doing that, you have to make a song your own, whilst paying tribute to the original singer.
I sang It's now or never, started off in a semi-Elvis voice, then for the last chorus, I switched to O Sole Mio, and made my voice a little more Bocelli like.
I don't like doing swing no.s too much at karaoke, because although I know and do the tunes, I don't always know/like the arrangements.
I was really impressed by Karaoke ethics man's faultless renditions of the songs whilst bringing out his own personality.
I do a lot of those type of songs for my jazz duo/ or solo piano/vocals, but sing and play them my way, but in the same style.
That's the way I like to do it anyway
