Microphone: My apologies for not turning up last night but I went to another show with a better host, far far taller than yourself, smoother moves, terrific voice (not so-so), well dressed (jacket with no threads showing) and quite good looking. Biggest audience I've seen for ages and no-one whinged about not getting a song! I finally collected on my Mother's Day present, and went to the Michael Buble concert. I admire his style and went with the premise of having a really enjoyable evening. I didn't expect to get wowed the way I did!! Not only did he perform with grace and ease (this I expected), he was extremely witty, often comedic, and always personable, expressing through song, his love and respect for the music and his band. Then, just to top things off, from my viewpoint, he sang to a crowd of approximately 10,000 at the Entertainment Centre, without the microphone (no pun intended). My daughter and I were seated in the first elevation facing the stage and could hear him as clear as a bell. What a magical effect it had on the entire audience. He also made a small speech making the mandatory thankyous, but added to it by stating that with the current economy, mid-week gig and weather etc, how humbled he was by the audience shelling out their hard earned dollars by coming to see him. A speech that in no way seemed contrived and came across as totally sincere. My respect for this artist has elevated to dizzy heights and would recommend to anyone, with a love of music and the professional performance of it, to try and catch him live if the opportunity arises.
