Mike-Rophone - If you are forced into a no profit corner by operators that are breaking the LAW - REPORT THEM!! Eradicate them out of the industry - make them pay - get the facts and evidence and pass it on to the authorities and lets see how Effective MIPI is and how quick they are to revenue hunt when 'honest injuns' like ourselves have had enough!
I mean I hear a lot of banter about converting, getting supplier permission (& not getting it) and somewhere down the track I'm sure a Blanket Licence will be obtained (tic) but what good is it all, if the CHEATS are still out there CHEATING!
We all know what we need to operate legally on HDD no more debate needed, you are still gonna have to carry your discs with you so your Sunfly investment is still operable and valuable, all the rest of you with the ideas of domestic downloads being commercially acceptable are off flying the WRONG KITES!
If all of us want to make changes and embrace new technology then it has to be profitable from a manufacturing level first, if this part of our industry is been raped & plundered by PIRATES and we are openly accepting it , what profit do you expect is left to cater for our requests.
It seems we all seem to miss the point, even before we relax with a DVD Movie we are warned about the harm and destruction copying DVD's has on the Film Industry all our Karaoke Suppliers have warned and educated us about the same effect on the Karaoke and Music Industry yet we still whinge about 'Cap'n Karaoke' and his bunch of bandits and use them as an excuse to extort permission from Manufacturers so we can do the same thing, Oh yes, I know we are different we'll buy the required licences won't we???
If you wanna make changes & get the Music/Karaoke Industry back in the Black start by cleaning up some dirty backyards and make the Bastards Pay!
