From the Where2sing.com forum:

Went to a karaoke venue tonight that allows kids in as we had my 15 yr old daughter with me. Wont mention the Club or the Karaoke Company running it but as it turns out they had a comp running and tonight was the Grand Final. Thats ok I thought, we wont get to sing but hey at least it should be reasonably entertaining. WRONG!!!!!!!! WRONG!!! WRONG!!!!!!

It was without a doubt the most BORING Karaoke Grand Final I have ever been to in my entire Karaoke Lifetime. Rach was in a comp here about 12 months ago and she finished 2nd. I only wish she had been in this one tonight. No disrespect to whoever wins it ( we didnt stay till the end ) but i feel without any doubt at all she would have won this comp.

25 singers each sang 1 song then they picked the Top 10 to go on and sing 1 more song and the placings were to be decided after that. Out of 25 singers in the round I would not be out of place if I said that 20 of them sang slow boring give me a razor blade ballads.
At one point there I swear there was 14 slow boring ( some very badly sung ) ballads in a row. For heavens sake was there a criteria that said u had to be boring to be in it ? Thanks heavens for the 5 that sang an upbeat song or actually moved on stage to show they werent dead. One woman was so bad in her rendition of The Rose that she actually had people pulling faces, covering their ears and laughing. Am awaiting an sms from 1 of the contestants that made it into the final 10 to tell me of the placings, but i would be VERY surprised if I couldnt pick the top 3 right now.
