| From the Where2sing.com forum: Ok with that said and done I would also like to congratulate Rach and tell her and everyone else that even though she did not make it to the final 5 tonight, I am extremely proud of her. Not many would have known this, but Rach had not been well all day today, in fact so much so ...........that we ALMOST made it home without her chucking up. But alas no, we didnt. 2 streets from home and I had to stop the car. I had 1 rather sick girl on my hands.
Now, having said that, please dont think either of us are making any excuses. Far from it. Every singer at some various time will be feeling ill etc and struggle their way thru as best as they can. And to her credit thats what my girl did tonight and why I am so very proud of her. She gave the best performance she possibly could at the time, unfortunately it wasnt good enough but there are definately no excuses. As I said I am still very proud of her.
Again, from both of us, CONGRATULATIONS to both Jody, the State Final Winner, and to Chris our Runner Up. Fantastic effort from you both. You are both something we can all aspire and look up to.
And to all the other Finalists that sang tonight, Well Done Guys and Girls, you all did yourselves proud. Hope to meet up with a few of you at various venues from time to time. A really nice bunch of people.
