| From the Where2sing.com forum: I pose the question then, why should those of us who have paid $25+ per disc then be required to pay an apra casual blanket license fee, seeing as though the disc manufacturer has already paid the royalties to the artist at the time of making the disc, I fail to see why we are then required to pay out exorbatent fees to a government agency for loading our legally purchased discs onto a hard drive.
I can legally play my discs at any venue until they are scratched beyond recognition, but the moment i wish to load them onto a hard drive to save them from such damage, and also to improve the presentation of my show, I am slapped with extra fees, which don't seem to exist if I use this tricerasoft, and it also appears that the cost of downloading tracks in the way you refer to is alot cheaper than buying a whole disc.
