From the Where2sing.com forum:

Thank you Kimmi , Mark and Robbie H for your kind words and support to our show and venues (in particular the Fox n hound).

I have been taking an interest in the latest discussions between Karen, her nicknamed friends and Billy T.
Karen, let me introduce myself as Noelene, Billy T's wife and selector of genuine/legal cds for the customer s to sing.
This is far from an easy job when you are working with disc's only, especially when customers are constantly requesting changes to their selection/s, want to sing intoxicated and put people & equipment at risk or simply getting over whelmed with requests at the same time as trying to assist people to find songs in our song book. I prefer to tell people the singers surname to encourage them them to use the book correctly, However ...
I can use a computer to assist me to do this, but as I understand, the night you appeared at the Fox, our new assistant was over whelmed with 47 singers ( all names recorded) and could not use the computer. The books are simple enough to use.
I guess What I am saying is, we are here to serve you, provide you with the best entertainment for the night BUT, let's have respect for one another- if we are aware we have upset people for what ever reason, we do try and sort it regardless - and usually still get a verbal slap in the face for it, so yes tell Operators when you aren't happy with the service at an appropriate moment ( don't forget the Operator announcing is flat out too) and do it in a civil manner.

There are rules to follow as pointed out by Robbie, and people don't understand the 'round' system (each Operator is 'different')and singing twice with someone in that Round or the time of your selection at night. Ever tried explaining that up up to 55 people throughout a 4 hour gig. We don't do favourites, however Operators may choose, towards the end of the night,to keep the tempo up, select tunes out of sequence or let a late comer sing, in reference to a singer who has submitted a slow song .. this is purely for the customers enjoyment!! no malice intended.
So, the invite is from me to you to come back again, introduce yourself and have a great time like others tell us they experience.
