It is VERY easy to forget to reconfirm that often.

Indeed, and that's the reason that I'm sending the email - as a reminder.
Firstly, if anyone else ReConfirms the gig at any time, it re-starts the 20 day period and puts it back under your control.
Secondly, after 20 days of not being Re-Confirmed, it can only be Removed by someone else - and if they do so falsely, they're banned from the site and the gig is reinstated.
Next, if the gig goes past 30 days and is open to Edit and possible control by someone else (the Additional Details have to be updated for the person to get control, but if all they do is update something like the Next Date, this puts the gig back under your control for the next 20 days again because Editing a gig also acts as ReConfirming it), they still have to input correct details. If someone gets control of a gig, and inputs intentionally false details, the gig gets put back under your control, the previous details get reinstated, and the other person loses their rights to Edit gigs.
And, if all else fails, I have the keys to the castle and decide what is fairest and best. G.C.M.G.
