| From the Where2sing.com forum: Well everyone 'To The Winners Go The Spoils' and I am sure each contestant representing their particular State at the 2008 KWC Australian Final @ Twin Towns took away with them the gift & profit of experience that are the well deserved 'spoils' of this competiton!
To each of these Finalists I extend my heartiest congratulations and gratitude for supplying a night of quality performances that put pay to the surreal and somewhat misguided public opinions slanted towards Karaoke performances!
In fact, from where I was seated with 'non karaoke' & regular interstate Twin Towns guests (that paid $25 per ticket) your performances were applauded and compared as good as some of the professional entertainers they have seen and they enjoyed each & everyone of your performances, be proud!
At this point I must congratulate Bill & Kate and all Sponsors for their support and belief in this fantastic project that ensures Karaoke is representative in World Competition!
Having just arrived back I must say (with the exception of Shaz SA ) there has been little input on W2S State by State regarding these Finals, I find this disappointing, Where2Sing.com is a KWC Sponsor and this competiton offers many Hosts the opportunity to market their businesses & procure extra income and gigs by supporting it, doesn't it?
When we consider some of the numbers that have been attracted to Venue & State Finals ( 750 ACT/ 500 Ql etc) how can it be ignored!
My involvement with KWC 2008, as with many of my competitions has not been without it's hiccups (lol) but as a successful Venue
promotion it scored big time and this prompts me to further pay tribute to the management of my participating venue and all those other venues that supported 2008!
KWC 2008 has certainly been a winner in my book & the 'spoils of experience' I have gaine from it will certainly be expanded on in 2009!
