| From the Where2sing.com forum: Re Boiling Point - Quite an interesting scenario, just when does a Host stop being a Host? Are we tagged with some sort of exclusion clause by regular Karaoke Punters, I mean are we expected to play & accept a different role when out & about socially e.g. arrive at the venue buy a meal & drinks but don't sing or if fortunate to win a draw be expected to request a redraw???!!!
Who makes up this sort of discriminatory crap?Just by coincidence I was criticised this weekend when the winner of our local draw, who had a couple of weeks ago helped me out, was labelled by some as an employee of mine that should not be in the draw and there is always that insinuation of 'things being rigged'.Whether these comments are made in fun or not they still leave a very bad taste in my mouth especially when the remarks come from clients that have been regular winners!!
And then as 'Boiling Point' states why can't me & the Missus have a night out as regular Karaokeers that spend money,sing a song or two, enjoying our free time should be without the discrimination and bad fellowship of those greedy people that think they have some 'Larger' claim to the fringe benefits and goodwill of Venues!
