| From the Where2sing.com forum: born2sing... I think it's a consequence of the way that hosts and singers overlap on W2S that we end up with public criticism of some hosts for their business tactics, whereas in other situations there might be no mention (or indeed knowledge) of this.
But Dean is not the only host who manages to score other's gigs, and also definitely not the only host who does so by offering a lower price. On the other hand, I think it's up to each host to manage the PR of his business appropriately, and I'm somewhat surprised when hosts come onto W2S publicly scorning singers and yet expects not to have their own businesses put under the spotlight here.
Perhaps what's important is that we separate our comments about the quality of a show from those about the business conduct of a host.
