| From the Where2sing.com forum: Last Sat night, I played a covers band gig at St Marys Leagues club - quite a big venue, big crowd, club is expanding, making money all the ways clubs do, but they actually hire live entertainment (I don't know about karaoke yet) with an inhouse sound engineer... and provide it for free on a Sat night for patrons and not in a closed off room either.
The number of people there speaks of good management and the fact that the old business models for clubs of hiring entertainment still works if done right.
