| From the Where2sing.com forum: ROVICS: The difference is that the RG can always find more bunnies to fill seats given the walk-past traffic. I'm with LB, once someone submits a song to the rotation, it goes into the next available slot as appropriate. If you have a problem with the song about to be submitted, talk to the patron and explain them them you would prefer something different. 99% of times they will oblige. Under no circumstances is the rotation fiddled with or songs dropped ( except when you run out of time but then you'd tell affected singers or informally close the list before this becomes a problem ). Proper use of psychology means you should never need to drop anyone from a rotation and no-one gets upset. At some venues I'm quite forward in suggesting songs and 'volunteering' people for duets to ensure that the place remains pumping and that everyone has a great time.
