| From the Where2sing.com forum: As a point of order, I should mention that there is no pressure on anyone to use their correct name - in fact, it is inconsequential whether people use their real name or a nickname. W2S is purposely designed for this, a part being that a change in a person's nickname will change update their nickname on every comment and post on W2S. Also, I don't divulge the identity of anyone on the site, and you should question whether a person using the name of a real living person is actually that person at all - perhaps it is a spouse, or a friend?
This position is further endorsed by the 'Mic Rophone' -versus- 'Roz' debate where neither the obviously fictitious name of 'Mic Rophone' nor the claimed genuine name of 'Roz' carried any extra weight when making comments about CCC gigs until 'Mic Rophone' pointed out that the name 'Roz' is that of the wife of the techie of a rival show to the one she had rubbished.
