From the Where2sing.com forum:

Wow!.. that is a good question....mmmm.... I guess you would have to just roll with the crowd.
It would definitely tick a few people off if you rejected there song because it's tempo was below 120BPM or something....lol
One slow song every so often would be o.k. it would gives the nutters on the dance floor a time to breath, but I do agree sometimes its a real vibe killer, but what real choice do you have?
You could try having a mini competition at that appropriate point of the night and see who can get the most people on the dance floor with there song choice..Prize a cap, keyring or bottle of wine....????
I'm not a slow song person, it has to be good enough to make you dance or full on Rock N Roll for me....
Plus if a song comes to my mind and I think of singing it I usually think 'Would I like it if somebody else sung it right now'.
One thing that does get to me is the repetition of songs. There is SO MANY available and everyone sings the same ones at every different karaoke, or they stick with the few that they feel they are good at and never try anything new, why is that?
One thing I did think of was how hard would it be to have a duet section in the song books?

Just rambling thoughts...cheers
