From the Where2sing.com forum:

I've been to a few karaoke rooms in Sydney and Brisbane, and even with Mandarin singers. The firebombed one in Sydney is actually quite good, and I liked the sound there. Almost all these places will have at least one large room that will accommodate 25 easily, and I'd also have a look at Green Box which tends to cater for a younger crowd. Both their Asian language and English lists are normally extensive and up to date, though some of the backing tracks can be MIDI and therefore not the best (read: interesting). If you're looking for songs for Mandain singers, remember that written chinese characters are read by Mandarin, Cantonese and I believe Japanese to some extent, and that the songs tend to crossover from one country to another - but all these karaoke rooms will have lists that cover Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese, Philipino and Japanese.... as well as English. BYO firebomb.
