| From the Where2sing.com forum: I run my rotations in the order they put in their songs. It's not up to me to judge who is a good singer and who isn't. Put yourself in the shoes of the not-so-good singers for a moment and imagine how they feel being shunted around in favour of 'better' singers. I have one regular who comes to my karaoke. He's not a great singer and he knows it, but he loves to do karaoke as it makes him feel good about himself. At other shows he goes to he either gets booed off stage before he starts the song, or sometimes for extra humiliation he starts and is booed off halfway. Some shows he's been to do as cottonginn does and he finds himself moved around the rotation or simply dropped altogether after his first song (usually without being informed so he sits there all night buying drinks waiting for his turn that never comes). The management of all my venues have asked me to not let him sing but I refuse to do that. Karaoke is for everyone of all standards. If people only want to see or hear good singers, go to a concert and even then you might find the standard better at karaoke.
