From the Where2sing.com forum:

... enters sheepishly. I apologise to anyone who was upset by my singing at the Bandclub on Sunday night. I got there late after church (got to keep priorities right). I greeted a few people, and then went to greet Fossie & Joan. They did the right thing and said to me, we probably can't get you in unless there is a cancellation (ie a singer has gone home).
I sat around waiting, not expecting to be able to sing, but just enjoying the company of some W2S singers.
After about 1/2 hour there was a cancellation of another first time singer for the night, so Fossie and Joan slotted me in.
I wasn't given preferential treatment, other times I have also sat around all night just to sing one song at the band club, I think when the rotating hosts were there was one occasion.
Fossie can correct me if I am wrong, but they use a rotation system based on 1st round singers get put in the order that song slips come to them.
2nd round, they do 2 from the list, then slot in a new singer - this works well
(I think Kev's Karaoke uses the same system)

If you know them well, they never favour good singers over bad singers, they never make anything other than encouraging comments.

Anyway, please keep singing, and enjoying the shows, if you don't want to wait around so much, find another host's show to support or enjoy other's company, and support the host and club there.
