From the Where2sing.com forum:

No Glen, not working for me, on SAT night with his own gear, in his own business name & it was to be a regular gig b4 you took it on and he had it registered on W2S gig guide!
BTW I'm alive & well & never done nothing for Leon or Roy @ Kwinana only guilty of recommending this guy to two venues one of which was Kwinana!
So that's a big deal to me, reliability and trust, as Leon would have in you to turn up each week & likewise with me & my venue managers, yea good on him but I'm just reminding him it's not his first gig and certainly he shouldn't be accepting congratulations as such, you and I know what the grind is like to get and maintain our reputations within venues Glen, so when we recommend someone it is our reputations and necks that are put on the line and believe me it does do Karaoke in general a disservice!
Anyway it's great to see another gig up and running especially with so much talk of doom & gloom I remember back in '87 when things were glum, although I was in the Luxury Goods Retail sector, and suffering, the Pubs still seemed to be plodding along OK ( I suppose there was a lot of us drowning our sorrows lol) however things have changed a lot in those 20+ years, no smoking and other price issues & bottle shop competition, so it just means Venues will be looking for the best value entertainment which doesn't nescessarily mean PRICE or COST of !
So I know we are all united in the fact of supplying that service and maintaining a standard that can only attract positive revues from Venues therefore putting our entertainment services to the forefront of their choices, because believe me a recent survey done by myself of Pubs,Clubs etc. has revealed some not very nice compliments towards the Industry I'm involved in, which brings me to another point, as a subscriber to W2S I am not here for my business promotion or reputation, I subscribe to assist the upkeep of this site and as the name of the site suggests I endeavour to advise those that visit it where they can go for karaoke singing, I have recently advised my supporters not to enter the voting process due to the consequences it can occur, that mainly being to a vistor from another state the top of the ladder may not be their cup of tea and not to their expectations.
Therefore I have suggested as voters we must take responsibility if ensuring our 'fav' venue is the tops at all times and as the hosts we must dress it up on the GIG listing showing the potential visitor how attractive it is regardless of it being a bit 'rough' around the edges tell 'em that in the comments, believe me my most favourite and the first Pub I sang at was exactly like that and I loved being there and the folks there and if I'd been subscribing back then it would probably have got my vote!
Lets not forget a very famous WA Icon 'Old SAVA-DA-MONEY' from WA Salvage and his catch cry of ' We're not Fanceee but weeer Cheeeep!' I mean guys lets see some pics on the gig guide I mean our #1 hasn't got a pic and no recent comments but has attracted the required votes to be #2 in Oz come on you voters lets see the pretty pictures!!!

Just to add credence to what I have stated, in 2009 I had at various Venues 16 Interstate Visitors that found my venue from this site
5 WA Country Visitors and 2 WA Metropolitan those results came from asking the questions on the night , sorry, and 1 from Wales how could I forget her so it does pay to be here and although we may think the whole of WA is watching us on W2S you may not be totally correct!
