From the Where2sing.com forum:

Catman, likewise great to find you 'in residence' at the Band Club's premier table, and I thoroughly enjoyed my chat with Uncle Ray. Robert A was delightfully modest (not) and entertaining, and actually a far better singer than I'd been led to believe; Catman, you must have put in a good word for me, because he came over and chatted in the carpark at the end of the night - and of course promised me a CD of his performances if I ever run into him again. I also owe a great vote of thanks to the subdued lighting that allowed you and SongBird67 to make such nice remarks about my youthfulness, no matter that the truth of my advanced years reappears at morning time and in any harsh lights situations - where would we all be with Redken colours?

Many thanks to everyone whom I met last night at St Mary's Band Club and across the road at the Brewhouse - I'm still feeling a little exhausted from just watching MicRophone in action - so thanks to Jeff for the free gift and being entertaining and a very professional host, his sofa-bound wife, TMOZ for being down to earth and humourous, Born2sing for his insights into the karaoke socierty, the little girl who waved cutely during my song, you Catman just for being you, Uncle Ray for a really deep and interesting conversation, Roz for nearly falling off her chair in surprise, Mick for showing Foster how a compere should really entertain, Roz's friend (singular is Roz's emphasis) just for being, well I'll leave it there, Foster for recognising me a minute later and being charming and humourous and seeking to depress me with the state of the economy, Joan for slotting me in at #37 despite having a load of singers,Robert A for giving me a yardstick by which to measure sanity, Alyssa for telling me that she was someone else whom I now forget, two or three other faces around the table whose names and/or nicknames I have now forgotten, and to anyone else whose name or face alcohol has now wiped from my memory.

With those two gigs side by side, I now fully understand why St Mary's has such pulling power on a Sunday evening.
