| From the Where2sing.com forum: It would be interesting to find out what association (if any) Bad Taste has with the Chatswood Club.. After all, I've been going to Chatswood RSL for most of the THIRTEEN years that this show has been running, and VERY rarely heard a word of complaint.
It is worth noticing, that Gary and Di NEVER solicit votes (nor have they ever needed to) and yet they have ranked consistently among the top 0.5% of shows in NSW (not just Sydney mind you.. the entire STATE)
Yet I understand that Mark and Cary (or is it Gary?) frequently request patrons to vote for them during their shows..
Now I can only assume that one of the following applies..
A) their show just really isn't THAT good
B) their patrons don't go onto W2S
C) Bad Taste 'may' be one of the hosts and is trying (in a rather underhanded and unprofessional manner) to increase their ranking
D) all of the above..
To be fair, there are MANY good shows out there, that aren't even ranked for one reason or another.
I have by no means been to all NSW shows either, but I have indeed been to MANY shows around Australia (and in this instance, let me assure you that 'many' is a severe understatment).
I have seen some good shows, great shows and pitiful shows..
I look forward to going to the Chatswood Club soon and comparing for myself.. It should be interesting (might even COUNT how many times the hosts ask for people to vote, or how many times the hosts sing (is it a karaoke show for the patrons? or a summer tour for a couple of guys who can't get a performance gig on their own?)
