| From the Where2sing.com forum: Catman: Yes, my friend and I went over to the Brewhouse for a couple of songs. I've known Foster for many years back when he and Joan did St Patrick's Tavern (both the city one and the one out west) but to be honest, The Band Club just isn't my kind of place. The age demographic is a lot older which means that the songs that get sung are usually from well before my time. I usually stay away from RSL type venues for this reason. When the Brewhouse started up at the same time, there was a lot of conjecture that there would be competition for singers but it couldn't be further from the truth. Both venues cater to wildly different crowds and I just feel more comfortable at the Brewhouse (I could never sing Red Hot Chilli Peppers at The Band Club for instance without feeling like a bit of a tosser, but it fit at Brewhouse).
