| From the Where2sing.com forum: Billy T, I believe that a shot of the outside of a venue gives W2Sers a major part of their impression because most W2Sers will be going around pubs/clubs in their area - and whilst perhaps not remembering the name of each place, a photo will bring it to mind along with memories of anything previously heard about the venue.
It's also why I swing past places in the W2S Gig Listings as I travel, which in turn is why some of these out-of-the-way venues have either a slightly blurred photo, one that doesn't quite get the whole venue, many that feature taxis and trucks momentarily in the wrong place, and almost always just the corner of my car window.
I also would be interested to hear how much W2Sers rely on photos, and whether the most useful are shots of the outside, inside, or actual karaoke.
