| From the Where2sing.com forum: In the most recent newsletter, David makes mention of gigs that don't operate over the holiday period (as happened recently with Christmas) and once again, the implication was that the hosts simply didn't feel like working. I'd like to openly challenge that assertion and am curious to know, of the hosts out there who did not have their usual gig running this weekend whether it was a personal choice or if it was the venue's call? Our regular Friday night gig was cancelled because the show starts at 10pm, but that's when the pub closed that night, pretty much all of our other shows were running as per usual (with the one on tonight going twice as long). I'm even wondering whether any host would be game enough to call a venue and say they weren't coming in to do the show for whatever reason for fear of the venue going elsewhere...
