| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi David! It sucks when karoake ceases, especially when it is for 'a few weeks'. I'm referring to the Swan Hotel in Fremantle. Ok ,they're trying out a new band, fair enough, but I can't help but wonder, if that's the REAL reason, or just an excuse.I feel that even if that IS the true reason, don't you think they could find some other place, to audition them?
Like a small factory that I knew in Albany called THE PADDED CELL ,the walls were covered with thick sound-proofing, I think it was made of carpet underlay which proved very effective, where a heavy metal band was rehearsing. There must be some venue in a city the size of Perth/Fremantle, where the same things can be done?Albany only had a population of some 20,000 town and shire combined in 1993.
