From the Where2sing.com forum:

When someone starts using a new Sign In with a new email address as a continuation of their usage of the site, either the site automatcally connects, or I manually connect, the new email address to the old Sign In - which carries forward their history and does as you suggest.

However, when someone makes a duplicate Sign In with a new email address purely for the purpose of posting anonymously, then in effect both the old and new Sign Ins are running concurrently - it's then difficult to decide which one to cancel and which one to keep. If I then connect the new email address to the old Sign In, the new anonymous post stays on the site in its anonymous form - which is exactly what having a single Sign In per person is designed to avoid.

One Sign In for each person is the basis to the value of information about gigs on the site, and it's fundamental to the structure of W2S that one person has just one Sign In. The site has been successful in garnishing valuable information, in contrast to many websites which are filled with rubbish from all and sundry. In a way, a single Sign In gives a certain accountability - lose this, and people like Karma Karaoke would have been buzzing around W2S with thirty or forty times the number of simultaneous posts...lol.

As for 'being shot down in flames', I think you've misunderstood in the same way as did Cottonginn. There was nothing wrong with that removed post from the anonymous poster - it was just that people are not allowed to make duplicate Sign Ins. Cottonginn, or indeed anyone else, is most welcome to post the exact same post under their own single Sign In.

But there's nothing to discuss about the allegations unless someone wishes to post those allegations.
