| From the Where2sing.com forum: MB & David ... I'm surprised if you think any amount of mic technique or tonal adjustment is going to do anything about poor pitch. Mic technique will only give the singer some control over his/her volume, but still only as much as the panel operator allows... & adjusting the tone of a truly aweful singer is ... well , it's like putting some colour into a black & white picture of a dog turd... it's more colourful , but it's still shit !!!
LB ... With many, yeah , maybe it is indifference ,but for some , they just don't realise how loud they are. I'm a pretty self-concious singer & I'm regularly amazed when I come off stage & people often say they could hardly hear me , yet on stage it seems to me I'm quite loud. By the way... I've always thought you go pretty hard into the mic .... lol
