| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi David Giving up smoking is a good Idea .....at 19 you are pretty well 10 foot tall and bullet proof and cannot perceive the end of your life as a reality ...so well done to you!...... when you reach the 'old Fart' stage of your life and start staring your own mortality in the face.......your motivation can become quite strong as you realise that you really would like to 'squeeze' out as many years as possible.
Fortunately giving up the fags has also dramatically reduced my addiction to caffeine and find that I really now only like top of the range brewed coffee and usually only one cup per day at that.........I am finding Nescafe instant etc revolting these days and generally drink Madura Tea which is almost caffeine free.
Although I have always smoked.....heavy smoking only really started when we started hosting karaoke in the days when you could smoke in venues behind the console...........YUK!!........that scenario seems quite foreign now.LOL
